A sanctuary, forged
Kitchens and wardrobes made to order in Hyderabad. Built in the Wood & Metal workshop, by the same hands, to the same tolerances.
Cova. A cave. Kovati. To forge. Kova. Hard. One room, three languages.
Galician, Slavic and Finnish arrive at almost the same word, and at almost the same idea: a private space, shaped by hand, hard enough to stay. We kept all three meanings.
La Kova builds kitchens and wardrobes to order, one room at a time, drawn for the space it will stand in and made in the Wood & Metal factory in Hyderabad.
Nothing here comes off a shelf. There is no catalogue of door styles to choose from, and no standard carcase your room has to be designed around.
Where the work shows
Four things we do not move on
- 01
Sanctuary
A kitchen should go quiet when it is closed. We draw for continuous runs, concealed fixings and doors that sit flush, so a wall reads as one surface instead of a set of parts.
- 02
Forged
Wood and metal in the same piece. Frames, pulls and hinges are made in the same building as the cabinetry, which is why the hardware matches the timber rather than approximating it.
- 03
Precision
Carcases are cut to a survey of your room, not to a module. Scribes are cut on site, by the person who made the run.
- 04
Endurance
Solid timber, real joints, finishes that can be repaired instead of replaced. A door that swells in July should still close in July ten years from now.
We work through your architect
Most projects come to us from an architect or an interior designer, and we are comfortable staying in that lane. We will work to your drawings, sit in your site meetings, and hand back shop drawings you can mark up before anything is cut.
See it in Hyderabad
Full-height cabinetry, drawers that run, and the finishes we actually use. Come and open things.
